"Meâlî Sema" Narrated Sema Ceremony Captivates Audiences at BAU!
Bahçeşehir University hosted a special event where art, cultural heritage and aesthetics came together. The "Meâlî Sema" Narrated Sema Ceremonytook participants on a captivating journey in which movement, rhythm and silence took on meaning.
On the evening of 17 February 2025, the B Conference Hallwas transformed into a stage under dim lights. As the first resonant notes of the neychanged the atmosphere of the space, the audience prepared to become part of this mystical and artistic experience.
The program was organized by the Bahçeşehir University Dean of Students Office. This special evening, which welcomed participants, began with a ney improvisation and continued with the sema ceremony. The harmonious whirling of the dervishescreated both an aesthetic and a spiritual rhythm. This stage, where silence and movement met, offered the audience unforgettable moments.
The event concluded with a closing speech by President Prof. Dr. Esra Hatipoğlu. In her speech, Hatipoğlu emphasized the contribution of such artistic events to the university's multifaceted cultural fabric and thanked everyone who contributed to the organization. A plaque presentation brought the evening to a close, and participants left the hall with the deep impressions of this remarkable performance.
